We simply wanted to make a calculator that intuitively spells out the cost of charging an Electric Vehicle.

We blocked out most the costs of owning a petrol vs electric car in a spreadsheet but couldn’t understand how to arrive at the charging costs of an EV. So we built our own calculator and then made this website so others could use it.

That led us down a path of trying to understand the overall transition from owning a petrol car, to owning an electric vehicle. We want to document all the niggles and differences, and make it easy for you to figure out if you’re ready to go electric yet or not.
